For one of our customers TFC - Talent Force Cooperation - is looking for a Business Consultant.
This department is responsible for all IT application development and maintenance of a very International IT environment and our business consultants are involved in ALL strategic IT developments within our business environment and committed to all IT projects.
Due to the diversity of applications, departments and the international character this is a very dynamic organisation. The role of the Business consultant it to be a ‘linking pin' between our business and IT. The consultant must me able to translate Business requirements to solid technical solutions and proposals.
You as a business consultant must be able to make complex needs and request simple and clear, and translate this into process flows supported by IT technology. These developments will be outsourced for the better part, but also in-house development will take place.
If you have tender experience or experience in managing external vendors this will be a plus.
Due to the character of our business environment we have a lot of challenges at the same time, you must be able to analyse quickly and assess impact, complexity and set up a clear advice to our business in order to give them the ability to make choices and prioritize. Therefor you must be able to be clear, ask concrete questions and translate this in to sounds advice and solutions. As an additional challenge you will be for the most part the project manager who manages the projects in your business line. Management capacity is therefor a big plus.
The team is a very independent team, informal and very committed. The IT-department as an organization is very eager to professionalize and innovate, so there is much room for growth and development for a business consultant.
Purpose:
Perform project management, analyses of information needs, selection and implementation and coordinate realisation/implementation of IT-solutions and deliver IT business support to improve or innovate the business.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Perform analyses of information needs and describe system requirements in order to specify unambiguous system requirements to be used for tendering or internal design and realisation of systems;
- Perform selection and (coordination of) realisation/implementation of IT solutions (or optimise existing ones) in order to support business processes (ensuring TCO is market conform);
- Conduct project management of IT-projects in order to deliver the agreed project result in terms of budget, time and quality and compliant with customer rules and guidelines;
- Provide input in order to contribute to local IT strategy;
- Explore and propose possibilities of (new) information technology to improve or innovate business processes and organization;
- Ensure the right application of working methods, tools and techniques within the IT department in order to assure optimal results and continuous improvement.
