For one of our customers TFC - Talent Force Cooperation - is looking for a Java Developer / Projectleader.


In this role you are managing two development teams: the Billing Team and the Front End Java Team.


As Sr. Developer you are responsible for team- and people management as well as Software development lifecycle execution management.


Activities:

  • Organize work in the team, structuring development process and tools, planning and managing all development activities.
  • Assign activities to team members and set up the priority of those activities.
  • Ensure projects are carried out according to the company development standards.
  • Ensure projects proceed according to planning.
  • Review and validate for all projects technical specification for the teams.
  • Identify common problems in development, define solution and ensure that the teams will
    implement it.
  • Be the escalation persons for your team members, find solution to escalation and ensure it
    will be implemented.
  • Ensure that detailed technical knowledge of company business applications (billing, CRM &
    Front End systems) is developed and maintained within the team.
  • Identify and solve conflicts between parallel development activities.
  • Follow-up spent time per activity.
  • Implement and improve software development methodologies design patterns, specifications, code quality etc.
  • Knowledge of the interfaces between different applications and teams and their potential complexity.


The team consists of 2 members in Front End and 5 members in Billing of which 4 are External.

 

Eisen

Hard skills:

  • HBO or University technical degree.
  • Minimum 4 year relevant work experience in similar position, preferably within ISP or Telco in an international environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in people management.
  • Analytical and critical on preparing solutions with their impacts.
  • Ability to analyze technical problems and solutions.
  • Good knowledge of / experience with technical design and architecture.
  • Good knowledge of / experience with coding. Being able to check the quality of development done by team members (code reviewing etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of / experience with object orientation & XINS Framework.
  • Specialist level of: C, Java, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, CVS, API, XML, XSLT, XINS.
  • Good knowledge of / experience with software development concepts and methodologies.

 

Soft skills:

  • Experience in coaching and motivating a team of professionals.
  • Enthusiastic.
  • Communicative.
  • High energy level.
  • Persuasive and positive with a hands-on, practical approach.
  • Knows how "to get things done" and an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Used to setting and meeting targets.
