Samsung SDS Smart Logistics is one of the fastest growing logistics service providers in the world and specializes in innovative logistics services by developing and applying optimized solutions and providing SCM consultancy to customers based on their own Cello platform.
The purpose of the Business Development Manager role is to help the organization meet the customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping Samsung SDS competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for retaining and growing the current customers, maximizing new business sales potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to the upper management.

Results to be achieved

  • You are responsible for designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands the customer base and ensures its strong presence. You identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. You also develop, grow and support the new prospects/ target based on company’s procedure;
  • You build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs. Through the approach of consultative selling, you achieve growth with existing customers and hit sales targets with new customers;
  • You prepare and present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team. You create data-driven approach in delivering your targets.

 Requirements

  • You have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics or commercial study with experience in logistics. Existing network within the industry for future Prospects is strong plus. You have 5 + years of experience in a comparable role, including relevant supply chain experience in a complex distribution/warehouse environment. Project Management experience is also highly desirable;
  • You have excellent communication skills in English. Dutch is an advantage. You have highly developed negotiation skills and a commercial mindset. You have cultural awareness, and your consultative selling approach is based on you customer needs. Ability to travel within/outside the country is also required;
  • Hands-on mentality, eager to take initiative new opportunities and deliver targets. You are an entrepreneur who can work with high degree of autonomy, but also a good team player, with a good doses of courage for exploring this new adventure together with the company.
