For our client P&O Ferrymasters we are looking for a Head of Carrier Management with a result driven mindset to further develop the Carrier Management strategies.

Following the establishment of a new Commercial JV, P&O Ferrymasters is in transition from a Business Unit led organization to a product driven organization with an asset heavy product set-up and a Pan-European asset light organization. For the later, the new Logistics product will serve predominantly at the outskirts of the asset network and deliver E2E solutions to those customers requiring more value added services and different geographical coverages than the existing asset network of the JV. The logistics product is formed by bringing together the former contract logistics and freight management organization and aims to instill customer centricity, uniformity, transparency and ease of doing business both for our customers as well as our partners with whom E2E solutions are developed and executed.
A primary objective for the logistics product is to roll-out a centrally organized and managed carrier management department with a Pan-European scope delivering both solutions internally to the various geographical offices as well as be the 1st point of contact for the commercial organization in designing, proposing and implementing new solutions for both existing as well as new Customers.
The Carrier Management department will be responsible for designing a carrier management strategy, central purchasing of 3rd party haulage requirements, managing 3rd party haulers, establish YoY continuous improvements (both operationally, financially and sustainability), signal and report on short, medium and long term market developments and drive quality, innovation, customer centricity through an agile carrier management structure across Europe.
