The ideal candidate

For one of our clients we are looking for a hands-on Manager Information Systems & Technology to build and manage the IT department. The IT department is responsible for the design, maintenance and support of the clients information technology infrastructure, in order to enable the organization to leverage both information and technology in an efficient, productive and secure manner.

Our client is a world-leading contractor in the offshore energy market. Experts in the design and execution of large and complex offshore projects, they are constantly pushing the boundaries of technology.

As Manager Information Systems & Technology you will be primarily responsible for coordinating, planning and leading IT related activities within the company. Besides that you will manage the different teams with 40 people working in different areas of expertise. Furthermore you will prepare and implement the IT strategy, set up a long-term plan and define the priorities.

The strategy will be articulated around three main pillars: Support the digital transformation: increase productivity by deploying the adequate hardware and applications across all departments. Provide a broad and easy access to business data and ensure the IT landscape meets the required compliance and cyber security standards.

You have an important role in the ERP implementation at the organisation. You will report directly to the CFO.

Requirements

Senior experience as manager IT in an international organisation
Strong background in Microsoft environment (windows Server, O365, Azure)
A people manager with a data-driven mindset and an entrepeneurial spirit

Results to be achieved

Operational management of the IT department of 40 people. Initiate and manage all activities making sure you meet overall corporate objectives (mission statement) and IT departmental objectives. Support the digital transformation: increase productivity by deploying the adequate hardware and applications across all departments. Provide a broad and easy access to business data and ensure the IT landscape meets the required compliance and cyber security standards.
Provide continuity between different project phases and functional handover. Collect, implement and use your know-how and experience for the purpose of improving customer service.
You will be in charge of leading and motivating the team to create innovative and modern in-depth ideas and solutions. You are responsible for the budget-plan for the IT Department.

The requirements for this position

5 - 10 years’ experience as operational manager in IT, preferably within an international organisation.

You have a solid background in Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Azure, O365) and experience with large-scale, preferably international, projects.

As the Manager Information Systems & Technology you are a true people manager who can motivate, manage, give guidance and assistance to your colleagues in the IT department.
